Education is an important tool in the fight to end domestic abuse. By understanding the numerous types and complexities of domestic abuse, as well as the various traumatic effects abuse can have on the lives of abuse victims, members of the community become better able to respond to instances of domestic abuse. Abuse of Children Power and Control Wheel

Created in 1984 by the Domestic Abuse Intervention Project in Duluth, Minnesota, the Power and Control Wheel helps victims identify the abusive behaviors and tactics used by their partners. This particular control wheel has been adapted to help identify tactics most often used to manipulate and control children.
