Be a part of Adopt-a-Family
Join our Adopt-a-Family (AAF) program by adopting a family, volunteering, or sharing information about our Adopt-a-Family with your network. Our AAF program allows our families, who have been experiencing challenging times, to put together a wish list of items they need and want for the holidays. When you adopt a family, you at matched with a family and given their list of items. You get to go shopping for them, return the items to us, we wrap the gifts up and schedule a time for the family to pick up their presents. When you adopt a family, you are providing the joy, laughter and the magic of the holiday season for children and their parent.
We also need a number of volunteers to make AAF possible. Volunteers are needed for donation drop off, wrapping presents and for when families come to pick up their gifts. For more information on AAF contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Katie at email@example.com or at 920-955-9113.

Donate an item off of our Adopt-a-Shelter list
We rely 100% on the generosity of our community for all of the items we provide in shelter for residents, clients and staff. We are able to provide residents with food, personal care items, pillows, blankets, diapers, toys, clothes, towels, etc. only because of the donations we receive. Our goal at Harbor House is to provide a safe, trauma-informed space that treats survivors with dignity and respect, an example of how we do this is every individual that comes into shelter get a brand new pillow, set of sheets and welcome basket of personal care items that is theirs to keep.
Every year we put together our Adopt-a-Shelter list with items that we currently need for our residents, clients and staff to keep our organization running. Please consider picking an item or two off of our Adopt-a-Shelter list to support survivors who come to us in crisis (we also have the list on Amazon!).
Give to support children and families this holiday season
A simple, straight-forward way is to give. Donate to support Harbor House this holiday season. From October – December, nearly 40% of our income is received for the year. With our newly renovated and larger shelter, our expenses are at a all time high. We need your support to keep our shelter warm, secure, clean and to allow us to utilize all of our new spaces for programming and services. Consider shining your lights for survivors by donating today.
Thank you for your continued support! We are overjoyed, awed and proud to be a part of such a generous, giving community. Together we can end domestic violence in the Fox Cities and beyond!
From all of us at Harbor House, peace and blessings this holiday season.
